Want to be rewarded for your entrepreneurial efforts? Consider nominating yourself or someone you know for an Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award. Here are some background questions to help you throughout the nomination process.

1. How are entrepreneurs nominated?
Anyone can nominate an entrepreneur for EOY. Nominations are submitted online at the Global nomination page. If you’re an EO Member, choose your location before submitting the nomination.

2. How many award recipients will be selected?
Each independent, regional judging panel selects categories and award recipients based on the quality and quantity of the nominations received. Each independent panel of judges is allowed complete discretion in determining categories and award recipients.

3. What categories will be honored nationally?
In the past, national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards have been presented in the categories below. The Ernst & Young National Entrepreneur of the Year is named from one of these categories.

4. When are the Entrepreneur of the Year regional awards?�
Winners are honored at regional award galas during the month of June.

5. When are the Entrepreneur of the Year national awards?�
The annual Entrepreneur of the Year awards is held in Palm Springs, Florida, USA, in November. The 2011 event takes place 8–12 November. The highlight of the weekend is Saturday evening’s national awards gala, where the national finalists and winners are named. Entrepreneur of the Year is the culminating event of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum, a week-long gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.
