Eliminate the Guilt!
Simply put, there just isn’t time for everything, and you have to stop feeling guilty about that. I learned early on that the work/life balance is a myth. It’s not realistic to expect to create the perfect balance between being a CEO and a parent. There will be certain days when you just have to work extra, and there will be other days when you get to spend those extra hours with your kids. Do not feel guilty if every day isn’t always a 50/50 split. Instead, make an effort to focus on your kids when you are with them and focus on the job when you are at work. (more…)
